Job Description

Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse! Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 Your pay will reflect your expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Registered Nurse - Mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke Unit Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus Full Time: 36 hours/week Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (4-5 weekends in a 6-week period) with a rotating holiday schedule Your Role: As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, addressing both physical and psychological needs. Provide virtual and bedside nursing to assigned patients, ensuring effective communication with the bedside RN. Assist with medication reconciliation, complete procedure checklists, and engage with families to answer questions. Conduct patient/family education and discharge planning. Experience: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing If your highest degree is an Associate Degree, you must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of your start date (effective September 1, 2021). Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered. RN Diploma Nurse if your start date is prior to September 1, 2021. Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure. Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of your start date. Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within 6 months of your start date. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing. 1 year of bedside inpatient nursing experience in an acute care setting is highly preferred. Why Join Us?
