Cardio IC RN (Registered Nurse) in Lodi, CA

Capstone Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Cardio ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for an assignment in Lodi, CA. In this role, you will provide high-acuity, evidence-based nursing care to adult cardiac patients in a Cardio Intensive Care setting, supporting complex pre- and post-procedural needs and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. As a Cardio IC RN, you will care for patients undergoing and recovering from advanced cardiac interventions such as cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, valve procedures, and cardiac device placements. You will perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition. Using bedside monitors, telemetry, and invasive lines, you will track trends, recognize early signs of clinical deterioration, and initiate appropriate interventions in accordance with provider orders and unit protocols. Your responsibilities will include administering and titrating cardiac and critical care medications, managing IV infusions, and maintaining central and arterial lines while following strict infection control and patient safety standards. You will provide post-operative and post-procedural care, including pain management, wound assessment, and monitoring for complications such as bleeding, arrhythmias, or hemodynamic instability. Accurate, thorough documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) is essential, as is effective communication with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and fellow nurses. In addition to direct patient care, you will play a key role in patient and family education, explaining cardiac conditions, treatments, medications, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery and prevent readmissions. You will help prepare patients and families for transitions of care from the ICU to step-down units or home settings, ensuring they understand follow-up plans and discharge instructions.
