About This Role
As a Surgical Services Nurse Manager at HealthONE, you'll oversee daily operations across pre-op, operating room, post-anesthesia care, and sterile processing departments. Your responsibilities include staffing decisions, scheduling, budget management, and ensuring compliance with surgical protocols and safety standards. You'll spend time on the floor supervising nursing and support staff, coaching team members on performance and professional development, and addressing operational challenges as they arise. This is a leadership position requiring strong clinical knowledge and people management skills. You'll report directly to senior leadership and work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and department heads. The ideal candidate has nursing experience in perioperative settings, proven management experience, and the ability to balance quality patient care with operational efficiency.

The Surgical Services Nurse Manager will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows, implement evidence-based practices, and uphold regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, performance evaluations, budgeting and resource allocation, quality and patient safety initiatives, infection prevention practices, and monitoring key performance indicators such as on-time starts, turnover times, and patient satisfaction.
You will lead clinical practice improvements, support adoption of cutting-edge surgical technologies, and champion professional development through education, competency validation, and mentorship.
