Job Description

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, a part of Mission Health, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Healthcare & Medical Services team.

Located on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, the hospital is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to the surrounding community, including emergency services, diagnostics, and rehabilitative therapies.

In this role, the RN will provide direct, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans for patients of varying ages and conditions.

The RN will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, high-quality care, ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation, and effective handoffs.

Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring and interpreting patient conditions, responding to changes in status, and using clinical judgment to escalate care when needed.

The RN will educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions, promoting health literacy and self-management.
