Job Description
Southern Health Partners Inc is seeking a compassionate, reliable PT LPN for a Day Shift role to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team providing on-site care in a correctional facility. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare staff, you will deliver quality medical services to incarcerated individuals, supporting safety, dignity, and compliance with state regulations. In this part-time position, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN and licensed providers, including administering medications and treatments, performing intake and ongoing assessments, responding to sick calls and medical emergencies, and assisting with chronic care and preventive health services. Your typical day will include triaging patient concerns, completing vital signs, wound care, medication passes, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record, while working closely with correctional officers and other clinical team members to maintain a secure, therapeutic environment. Southern Health Partners is dedicated to high standards of clinical practice and regulatory compliance, and you will play an essential role in supporting infection control, confidentiality, quality improvement, and continuous readiness for audits and inspections. You will also help educate patients about their health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies, adapting your communication to the unique needs of the correctional setting. Our culture emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and professional growth, giving you opportunities to expand your correctional healthcare skills, participate in ongoing training, and develop your career while maintaining a healthy work–life balance through flexible, pick-up-friendly day shift hours. The ideal candidate holds an active and unencumbered LPN license in the state of practice, current BLS/CPR certification, and prior experience in a clinical, long-term care, or similar healthcare environment, with correctional or behavioral health experience considered a plus. Strong clinical judgment, solid documentation skills, respectful communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both healthcare and custody staff are essential. In return, Southern Health Partners offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on an underserved population, competitive pay with potential bonus opportunities, and access to a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k options, all within a supportive and collaborative workplace focused on safety, respect, and continuous learning.
