Shift: 3x12-hour shifts Start date: June 22, 2026 Work setting: emergency department in an acute care environment (travel assignment) Responsibilities Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the ER according to established standards and the nursing process. Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, monitor outcomes, and adjust as needed. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor for adverse reactions, and document responses. Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines. Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to prioritize care and ensure patient safety. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in discharge planning and patient education. Requirements Active RN license in California (or eligibility to obtain) [Note: licensure details provided may vary by assignment; confirm during hiring].
