Capstone Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Med Surg RN (Registered Nurse) for an assignment in King City, CA. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in a fast-paced acute care environment and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care to a diverse adult patient population on a medical-surgical unit. As a Med Surg RN with Capstone Healthcare Staffing, you will provide comprehensive bedside care to patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical conditions. You will perform thorough assessments, administer medications, manage IVs, perform wound care, monitor vital signs and laboratory results, and respond promptly to changes in patient status. You will develop and update individualized care plans, document accurately in the electronic medical record, and communicate clearly with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff. You will play a key role in patient and family education, helping them understand diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions, and promoting safe transitions of care. You will coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges while ensuring smooth handoffs between shifts and departments. The position requires strict adherence to infection prevention and control standards, patient safety protocols, and all facility and regulatory guidelines. Requirements
Active RN license in good standing.
1+ year of clinical experience preferred; new grads considered for residency tracks.
BLS required. ACLS preferred for hospital roles.
Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.
