Job Description
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled CVOR Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting Premier Health & Safety’s mission to deliver high-quality health and safety services.
In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR), collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant surgical procedures.
You will be responsible for pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including patient assessment, preparing and maintaining the sterile field, handling and accounting for instruments, assisting with cardiovascular procedures, and monitoring patients’ hemodynamic status throughout the surgical process.
You will adhere strictly to infection prevention standards, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines, documenting all aspects of care accurately in the medical record.
The CVOR Registered Nurse will also contribute to ongoing quality improvement by participating in case reviews, safety checks, and debriefings, identifying opportunities to improve patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
You will educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and post-operative care while serving as an advocate for patient safety and comfort.
This position operates in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that demands excellent clinical judgment, strong technical skills with CVOR equipment and monitoring devices, and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions.
Aligned with Premier Health & Safety’s culture of learning and compliance, you will participate in continuing education, mandatory safety and compliance training, and skills development activities to stay current with cardiovascular surgical nursing best practices.
You will also help orient and mentor new staff, supporting a collaborative team atmosphere that prioritizes safety, communication, and community service.
Candidates can expect a dynamic work environment with opportunities for career advancement and the enhancement of specialized CVOR skills, all while contributing to a safe, patient-centered care environment that reflects our commitment to excellence and safety.
