Work Shift Night (United States of America) Job Summary This position involves one 12-hour shift one week and two 12-hour shifts the following week. As an RN Clinical Nurse , you will be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. You will thrive in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and leaders, guided by the Wellstar Shared Governance Model and the Wellstar Professional Practice Model. We expect our RN Clinical Nurses to be licensed, knowledgeable, and committed to upholding the standards of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. You will play a crucial role in advocating for patients while adhering to system policies and supporting our service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practices. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity. Engage with patients and their families, ensuring their goals are central to the care plan. Adhere to current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinate safe, quality patient care through effective interdisciplinary communication. Demonstrate teamwork that promotes fiscal responsibility and retention of healthcare team members. Support performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared governance. Professional Development and Initiative Complete all required professional competency assessments and ongoing education. Serve as a mentor for other nurses and staff, fostering a qualified workforce. Evidence-Based Practice and Research Promote evidence-based practice and participate in nursing research. Uphold organizational policies and standards, ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation requirements. Engage in data collection and consult experts to address clinical questions. Resources and Support Plan for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care. Collaborate in developing protocols to achieve best practice outcomes. Support efficient use of resources and perform other duties as assigned. Required Minimum Education Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or equivalent within 180 days RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (Multi-state Compact) Required Minimum Experience Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience required Required Minimum Skills Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly. Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
