Work Shift Night (United States of America) Job Summary As an RN Clinical Nurse in Critical Care , you will be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. Your expertise will help uphold the standards set by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association . Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver evidence-based, individualized care. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity. Engage patients and their families in care planning through effective communication methods. Adhere to current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinate safe, quality patient care through inclusive interdisciplinary communication. Foster teamwork and collaboration while promoting a respectful clinical environment. Support performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared governance. Professional Development and Initiative Complete ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education. Serve as a mentor for fellow nurses and staff, fostering a qualified workforce. Evidence-Based Practice and Research Promote evidence-based practice and participate in nursing research. Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and standards. Engage in data collection and consult experts to address clinical questions. Resources and Support Plan for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care. Collaborate on developing protocols to achieve best practice outcomes. Support efficient use of resources in patient care. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Compliance with all Wellstar Health System policies and standards is essential. Required Minimum Education Diploma from an accredited nursing program (required) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school (preferred) Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required) BLS - Basic Life Support (required) RN - Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-state Compact) (required) Required Minimum Experience Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience (preferred) Required Minimum Skills Proficient in English, with basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies effectively. Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
