About This Role
This PRN position involves providing direct patient care in an infusion clinic setting, where you'll place and monitor IV lines while administering infusion therapies under your clinical oversight. You'll assess patients throughout their treatment and maintain catheters as needed. The role offers schedule flexibility ideal for those seeking control over their work hours and better work-life balance. You'll work in a casual, collaborative environment within an established infectious disease practice that's actively expanding. Frequently asked questions
How does per diem nursing work?
Per diem nurses pick up shifts as needed without a fixed weekly schedule. You commit to a minimum number of shifts per month and choose dates that fit your availability.
Does per diem pay more than staff?
Yes — per diem hourly rates are typically 20–40% higher than staff rates because there are no benefits or guaranteed hours.
Are benefits included?
Most per diem roles do not include health benefits or PTO; the higher hourly rate is meant to offset that. Some hospitals offer limited benefits at higher commitment tiers.
