Job Description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H+H/Queens, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible complex family planning physician and researcher with global health interest. The position includes 80-90% full-time equivalent in clinical service, including 40% complex family planning, 40% (GYN surgery, Obstetrical services including management of Labor and Delivery and outpatient services). Additionally, 10-20% full-time equivalent will be dedicated to global and community health research and program development. This position includes teaching responsibility for Residents and Fellows. This position includes faculty appointments with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, and the Department of Global Health and Health System Design, commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. The Department of Global Health and Health System Design collaborates closely with Queens Hospital on care, research and education initiatives as part of the global-local NYC Partnership. They also partner with academic institutions in Kenya, Nepal, Ghana and Guyana. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team working with a diverse patient population and to pursue both research and clinical care activities. Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.
