Job Description

Chenango Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Cardiology team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiology NP or a Primary Care NP interested in transitioning into a cardiology specialty role. Position Overview The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with our cardiologists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be flexible, eager to learn, and comfortable practicing with a high level of autonomy as their experience grows. Key Responsibilities Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients in our cardiology practice Perform hospital consults and assist with inpatient follow-up Participate in shared call coverage Collaborate with the cardiology care team to ensure coordinated and effective care Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Qualifications Current NYS Nurse Practitioner license (FNP, AGNP, or ANP accepted) Experience in cardiology preferred, but primary care NPs with a strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply Willingness to train and develop advanced cardiology skills Ability to participate in call rotation and consult coverage Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $136,000 – $156,000 annually Comprehensive benefits package including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer matching options Paid time off and CME support What We Offer Comprehensive onboarding and cardiology-specific training Competitive compensation and supportive benefits A collaborative, team-oriented environment Opportunity to expand your clinical scope in a hospital-based specialty practice
