Work Shift Various shifts available (United States of America) Job Summary As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will: Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practices to ensure individualized patient care. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and adapts to population-specific characteristics. Engage with patients and their families through effective communication methods, ensuring their goals are central to the care plan. Adhere to current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinate safe, quality patient care through inclusive interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation. Foster teamwork by promoting fiscal responsibility and supporting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support shared governance at all levels. Professional Development and Initiative Complete all required competency assessments and ongoing education. Serve as a mentor or preceptor for other nurses and staff, ensuring a qualified future workforce. Evidence-Based Practice and Research Promote evidence-based practice and participate in nursing research to enhance patient care. Uphold organizational policies and standards, ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation requirements. Engage in data collection and consult experts to address clinical questions. Resources and Support Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum. Collaborate in developing protocols to achieve best practice outcomes. Support the efficient use of human and material resources. Other duties as assigned. Compliance with all Wellstar Health System policies and standards is required. Required Minimum Education Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated: BLS - Basic Life Support RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (Multi-state Compact) PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 180 days) TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course (within 18 months) ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 180 days) Required Minimum Experience Minimum 1 year of relevant, recent acute care clinical nursing experience required. Required Minimum Skills Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills are essential. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure. Excellent time management and critical thinking skills. Requirements
Active RN license required.
1+ year of ER or acute-care experience.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. TNCC preferred.
Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.
