Faculty Appointment - Outpatient ONLY Pediatric Urology On behalf of Dr. Daniel Herz, Division Chief of Urology at Connecticut Children’s , CareerPhysician, LLC, a leader in academic pediatric recruitment, has initiated a national search to identify a talented fellowship-trained pediatric urology provider to serve an expanding clinical and educational presence for the division in Westport, CT, 54 miles north of Manhattan. Opportunity Highlights: Connecticut Children’s is the state’s only stand-alone children’s hospital. The clinic in Fairfield County is critical to the clinical growth strategy for Connecticut Children’s urology service and will serve as an anchor program for the brand, with a reach of approximately 1.5 million pediatric patient lives. The joining urologists will work in an outpatient practice housed in Connecticut Children’s new multi-specialty clinic in Westport, CT. The clinic offers new office space for multiple specialties, including procedure rooms and an ambulatory surgical center just minutes from the clinic. The joining provider will participate in divisional educational programs and be well supported with faculty outreach and division designated ancillary support, including nurses and MAs. There will be opportunities to participate in clinical research. The compensation structure and package will consist of a guaranteed base salary of $525,000+, RVU productivity incentive, sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The selected physician will work closely with the division chief to build on Connecticut Children’s established presence in the region and be expected to function at a high level establishing the framework of the Westport practice within the framework of a larger program, serving as the first full-time pediatric urology physician in southern Connecticut. This will be predominantly an outpatient clinic position centered in Fairfield County with no on-call responsibility at Connecticut Children’s Hospital in Hartford. The selected urologist will receive full-time nursing support in the clinic, in addition to a full-time APP, which has already been budgeted by the division. The selected provider will be charged with focusing on building relationships and referrals in Fairfield County while serving as a brand ambassador for Connecticut Children’s in one of the fastest growing counties in the region. Medical directorship appointment will be considered after one year of faculty service in Westport. Block time will be available at two regional Surgery Center Centers in Stamford and Norwalk. The physician will be supported by a full-time advanced practice provider, dedicated to the clinic in Westport. Candidate Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience, post-fellowship. Must have current American board certification from the American Board of Urology Comfortable working with autonomy in a multi-disciplinary clinic environment with other pediatric sub-specialists.
