Job Description
The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Northwell Health’s Staten Island University Hospital is seeking an experienced BE/BC Full-time Intensivist to join our team in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit. Experience in post-operative cardiac care is preferred. Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching hospital that spans two campuses and provides a vast array of services in health and wellness. Our 17-acre North campus houses Staten Island’s most modern emergency department, a state-of-the-art education center and a medical arts pavilion. Our South campus boasts its own emergency department and offers a range of specialty programs, including geriatric psychiatry, behavioral health, and substance abuse services. Requirements
Active RN license required.
1–2+ years of ICU/critical care experience.
BLS and ACLS required. CCRN preferred.
Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.

What does the schedule look like?
Most ICU positions run three 12-hour shifts per week — either days (7a–7p) or nights (7p–7a) — with weekend and holiday rotations.
