About This Role
Based in Southern Oaks, California, this locum tenens position combines outpatient clinic duties with essential hospital coverage. Your daily schedule involves six hours of clinic time managing a census of 17 to 20 pediatric patients for both wellness checks and acute illness visits. Beyond the clinic, you will oversee a low-acuity pediatric floor and a Level I nursery, with daily volumes typically ranging from zero to five patients in each area. This role requires a clinician comfortable attending deliveries and managing weeknight pager duties alongside 24-hour weekend call rotations. Candidates must hold active NRP and BLS certifications and demonstrate proficiency in newborn care. This assignment is a perfect match for a Pediatric RN or specialized practitioner who enjoys variety in their practice setting and thrives in a mix of scheduled appointments and on-call responsibilities. Compensation is competitive, reaching up to $150 per hour, with the added benefit of fully covered premium housing, travel arrangements, and comprehensive malpractice insurance provided throughout the duration of the contract.
