Job Description
RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare delivery system in New Jersey, is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team.
As an RN, you will provide safe, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive nursing care to diverse patient populations across our network, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and support staff.
You will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, and using clinical judgment to escalate changes in condition.
This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary care, educating patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
You will play an active role in quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards, while supporting an environment of safety, respect, and inclusion.

This is a full-time position that may require rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 patient care within a field/on-site hospital or clinical environment in New Jersey, where you will contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care within a diverse community.
Requirements
Active RN license in good standing.
1+ year of clinical experience preferred; new grads considered for residency tracks.
BLS required. ACLS preferred for hospital roles.
Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.

1+ year of clinical experience is preferred for most staff RN roles. Many hospitals have new-grad residency tracks if you are recently licensed.
