Work Shift Night (United States of America) Job Summary As an RN Clinical Nurse , you will be a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, dedicated to providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. You will work in a supportive environment guided by Nurse Managers and the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, ensuring that your practice is rooted in evidence-based standards and the Wellstar Values. We expect our RN Clinical Nurses to be licensed, knowledgeable, and committed to upholding the standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association. Your role will be crucial in amplifying the voice of the patient while adhering to system policies and striving for service excellence. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver individualized clinical care based on evidence-based practices. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and adapts to the unique characteristics of each patient. Engage with patients and their families through effective communication methods, ensuring their goals are central to the care plan. Adhere to current clinical practice standards in all aspects of care. Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinate safe, quality patient care through effective interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation. Foster a respectful and inclusive clinical environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, supporting research and shared governance at all levels. Professional Development and Initiative Complete all required professional competency assessments and ongoing education. Serve as a mentor or preceptor for other nurses and staff, helping to cultivate a qualified workforce. Evidence-Based Practice and Research Promote evidence-based practices and participate in nursing research to enhance patient care. Uphold organizational policies and standards, ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation requirements. Engage in data collection and consult experts to address clinical questions effectively. Resources and Support Proactively plan for patient care across the continuum while delivering direct patient services. Collaborate with care managers to develop protocols that achieve best practice outcomes. Support the efficient use of resources to enhance patient care. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Compliance with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct is essential. Required Minimum Education Associates Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Bachelor's in Nursing - Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent certifications Required Minimum Experience Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience preferred Required Minimum Skills Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills are essential. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure. Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
