About This Role
You'll work in Brown Medicine's intensive care unit in La Cañada Flintridge, delivering direct bedside care to critically ill patients. Your days involve assessing patient conditions, executing treatment plans developed with your care team, and monitoring vital signs and medical equipment closely. You'll collaborate with doctors, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care and contribute to both clinical outcomes and unit operations. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and solid foundational knowledge from your nursing education. You're a good fit if you're detail-oriented, responsive to rapid changes in patient status, and committed to evidence-based practice. This is hands-on clinical nursing with high patient acuity.

SUMMARY: The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process within assigned work periods.
They function as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes consistent with the comprehensive plan of care.
The RN participates in activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes.
