About This Role
Operating within the Troup County Jail, this full-time night shift position offers a clinical environment free from the constant interruption of traditional call lights. From 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule, you will manage a diverse patient load that blends emergency triage, chronic disease management, and mental health support. Physical duties center on conducting thorough intake screenings for new arrivals, administering medications, and performing critical nursing assessments to ensure the safety of the facility. This role is tailor-made for a Licensed Practical Nurse who prefers professional autonomy and high-speed problem-solving over more predictable long-term care settings. You will work alongside correctional officers and medical providers to stabilize medical situations and maintain accurate health records behind the scenes. Southern Health Partners prioritizes clinical judgment and steady nerves, making this an excellent fit for LPNs who enjoy a focused, security-conscious atmosphere where every intervention serves a direct and immediate purpose. Rather than repetitive floor nursing, you will gain experience across multiple specialties in a single shift, refining your ability to think critically when every minute counts.
