Job Description

Your team is bigger than your department: UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke-ready facility; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit, radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City. Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Qualifications: Job Requirements: Associates Degree of Nursing Must maintain current Texas RN License BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

License Required

Active RN license required.

1+ year of ER or acute-care experience.

Certifications

BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. TNCC preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.
