  • Review medical histories and clear each patient for breast biopsy and pre-surgical procedures
  • Coordinates the patient’s care with the radiologist, biopsy technologists and circulating nurse with in the outpatient surgery center
  • Point of contact for patients and referring physician’s offices regarding planned procedures. Educates and assists patients with questions prior to their scheduled biopsy procedure
  • Follows up with patients who have post biopsy concerns and coordinates post biopsy evaluations as needed
  • Previews and documents all surgical cases and coordinates pre-surgical procedure plan with the radiologist, technologists, and surgeon’s office
  • Attends weekly Multidisciplinary Breast Conference (Tumor Board), documents case discussions and treatment plans
