Work Shift Night (United States of America) Job Summary As an RN Clinical Nurse in hospice, you will be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing individualized, high-quality care to patients and their families at the end of life. Your hands-on patient care will take place in various clinical environments, guided by our WellStar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practices. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Compassionate Care: Deliver direct nursing services to terminally ill patients and support their families, addressing their physical, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. Nursing Process: Perform assessments, diagnoses, and develop care plans that reflect the unique characteristics of each patient. Patient Partnership: Collaborate with patients and their significant others to ensure their goals are at the forefront of care planning. Documentation: Accurately document all care in the EMR, adhering to policy timelines. Education: Provide ongoing education to patients and families about disease progression and end-of-life care. Team Collaboration: Coordinate safe, quality patient care through effective communication and teamwork. Professional Development: Mentor and precept other nurses, ensuring a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment. Resource Management: Plan for patient care across the continuum and support efficient use of resources. Required Minimum Education Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact Required Minimum Experience Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience as an RN Required Minimum Skills Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken Proficient in using technology to support clinical care Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure Why Join Us?
