About This Role
In this high-acuity locum tenens role based in Honolulu, you will manage a daily caseload of approximately 12 patients while providing specialized consultations for the emergency department. Operating within a fast-paced intensive care environment, your shift will center on complex clinical interventions including both invasive and non-invasive ventilation management, bronchoscopies with lavage, and various line insertions. You will also be responsible for critical blood pressure regulation, dialysis catheter placement, and intracranial pressure monitoring. This position is ideal for an experienced Critical Care physician or a highly specialized ICU nurse practitioner comfortable with advanced procedural demands and acute volume management. The compensation is a major draw, with hourly rates reaching up to $250. Beyond the competitive pay, this assignment removes the logistical hurdles of travel by providing fully arranged housing and comprehensive malpractice coverage. If you are a specialist who thrives in critical medicine and seeks the flexibility of a travel contract in a premier island setting, this role offers the perfect balance of clinical challenge and professional support.
