About This Role
This locum tenens position in Shumway, Arizona, offers a balanced mix of outpatient care and inpatient consultation for a Board Certified Pediatric Nephrologist. Your typical week follows a Monday through Friday schedule, split between seeing approximately eight clinic patients daily and managing two hospital patients. Clinical duties are comprehensive, requiring expertise in hemodialysis management, vascular access procedures, renal transplant evaluations, and peritoneal catheter oversight. Beyond the standard clinic hours, you will maintain 24-hour unrestricted on-call availability to support the facility's pediatric population. This role is ideal for a specialist who enjoys clinical variety, as the caseload is roughly 80% clinic-based and 20% hospital-focused. To ensure a seamless transition into this rural Arizona community, the assignment includes premium weekly pay, covered malpractice insurance, and fully arranged travel and housing. It is a precise fit for a physician looking to step into a structured environment where administrative tasks and credentialing are handled for them, allowing a total focus on specialized renal care for children.
