About This Role
This travel anesthesiology role in Los Angeles centers on a diverse pediatric and neonatal caseload within a hospital setting. You will manage surgical anesthesia for patients under 14, including complex ASA 3+ cases and roughly 10 to 20 neonatal procedures annually. Your clinical scope spans everything from general pediatric surgery and ENT to urology, oncology, and interventional radiology. Flexibility is a core component of this assignment, offering 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts across weekdays and weekends, supplemented by one week of home-based pediatric call per month. This position is ideal for an experienced CRNA or physician provider who thrives in high-acuity environments and possesses strong neonatal competencies. Beyond the professional complexity, the financial incentive is significant, with hourly rates reaching up to $450. The logistical burden is entirely removed, as fully coordinated housing, travel, and malpractice insurance are provided. This is a chance to provide specialized care in the NICU and pediatric floors while benefiting from weekly pay deposits and a streamlined credentialing process designed to get you bedside without the usual administrative delays.

Frequently asked questions
How long is a typical travel nurse contract?
Most travel nurse contracts run 8–13 weeks, with the option to extend or take a new assignment after each contract. Some crisis or rapid-response contracts are as short as 4 weeks.
Is housing provided or is there a stipend?
Most travel agencies offer a tax-free housing stipend rather than agency-arranged housing. Stipends vary by city and assignment, typically $1,000–$2,500 per month on top of weekly taxable pay.
Do I need a compact nursing license?
A multistate (compact) license lets you work in any NLC member state without applying for a separate license. For non-compact states (e.g., California, New York) you'll need a state-specific RN license before starting.
