Job Description

Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department! Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 Your pay will reflect your expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: RN - Emergency Department Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Full-Time: 36 hours/week Hours: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with every third weekend and rotating holidays What You Will Need: Education: Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing. If your highest degree is an Associate's, you must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of your start date.

Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the emergency department. Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date What You Will Do: As a vital member of our team, you will: Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Employ critical thinking skills to assess patients' conditions, recognize changes, and plan and evaluate care. Monitor patients' progress and record pertinent observations. Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff members. Collaborate with your team to achieve unit goals.
