About This Role
This contract-based position places a highly specialized surgeon at the center of a premier academic health network in Los Angeles. Over a one-year term, you will bridge the gap between world-class medical centers and community hospitals, managing a diverse caseload that spans from neonatal interventions to adolescent procedures. Your daily routine balances the intensity of 24-hour on-call shifts with the continuity of weekly outpatient clinics for consultations and postoperative follow-ups. This is a high-autonomy role requiring a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric surgeon who is equally comfortable in a fast-paced emergency environment and a collaborative multidisciplinary setting. Because you will be moving between various facilities in the greater Los Angeles area to ensure surgical coverage, flexibility and a valid California medical license are essential. While this specific staff contract does not include a traditional benefits package, it offers a wide competitive salary range reaching up to $302,600 annually, depending on your specific experience level and monthly hours logged. It is a distinct path for a clinician who prioritizes clinical impact and regional outreach within a top-tier university framework.
